Residents Participate in
Chicago Women’s March
SEVERAL CLARE RESIDENTS joined 300,000 others
at Grant Park in March for the 2018 Women’s March on
Chicago. This year’s theme was “March to the Polls,”
an effort to motivate voters to participate in the Illinois
primary midterm elections and the gubernatorial election
later this year.
Larry Pirovano and Zach DeCoster, Larry’s trainer at The Clare
Larry Pirovano Climbs to Top of AON Center
Larry Pirovano made it to the top of the AON Center (80
flights of stairs, 1,643 steps) in just over an hour on Sunday,
January 30 as part of the Step Up for Kids event. He raised
more than $4,000 for Lurie Children’s Hospital, with many
donations coming from friends and neighbors at The
Clare. This is the fourth year he has made the climb.
The Museum of Science and Industry recognized Bob Spieler during a
retirement celebration .
Bob and Marilyn Day Help Set Bob Spieler Celebrates Volunteer
Living Organ Donor World Record Retirement at Museum of
Residents Bob and Marilyn Day helped to set a Guinness Science and Industry
World Record for the largest gathering of living organ and Bob Spieler celebrated his retirement as a volunteer at
tissue donors from around the world. The event drew 475 the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago earlier
donors in April to the Cloud Gate at Millennium Park. this year. He volunteered at the museum for 26 years.
